Marine equipment will occur corrosion in marine environment ,which affects the service life ,and even leads to serious accidents ,so the corrosion and protection of marine equipment will be important issues need to be noticed . This paper mainly introduces the corrosion mechanism of marine equipment ,as well as the general methods preventing the marine equipment from corrosion at home and abroad . Finally , the paper points out the development trends and main research direction of protection technique for marine equipment .
