As the American TV shows spread in China, subtitle translation has been gradually valued. Subtitle takes one kind of special literary style, and has its own unique features. Based on Skopostheory, this paper takes"Modern Family" as chief source to explore subtitle translation strategies and techniques of American TV shows from the per-spective of audiences and the features of subtitle.
