This paper introduces a new type of railway freight activities cover opening and closing mechanism, the movable top cover can be applied to existing railway truck, hopper car and other various types of railway freight car, in order to achieve in a top loading car go and rain in the operation, the sealing effect. Through analysis of closing the mechanism mo-tion principle of the movable top cover open, it calculated at each of its opening and closing the minimum required cylinder pressure value and the existing railway freight air pressure, carried out under the several times of opening and closing move-ment.
