Ventilation and heat transfer analysis of three-phase asynchronous wind generators was done from three aspects. First of all, numerical simulation and result analysis of three-dimensional temperature field of the generator was done and the results were compared with experimental values. Secondly, the design principle of cooling ribs and the key points of calculation for the centrifugal fan were introduced. Finally, the factors which can cause high temperature rise of generator were analyzed based on the ventilation system and cooling scheme of generator. The theory and analytic methods involved here have some reference value for cooling performance improvements of generator.
