The torque ripple and efficiency of switched reluctance is an important factor affecting the motor running. Sooth torque and high efficiency are good guarantee to the switched reluctance motor’s working performance. Taguchi method was introduced to the design of motor, using orthogonal experiment to optimize the switched reluctance motor used for 8 pumping unit, choosing the right combination of parameters to improve the motor’s torque and efficiency.
