Flipped classroom is a reversal of teaching activities in classroom by form, but its essence is the change of teaching behaviors. Under this teaching mode, students’ potential can be fully stimulated; experience can be fully shared; and the students are more driven by active learning, and together they study and tackle future challenges and practical problems, thus gaining a deeper understanding of what they are learning. The paper examines the application of flipped classroom in SINOPEC’s geophysical prospecting experts workshop, on the basis of which it discusses the key areas that need attention when implementing flipped classroom and the focuses when promoting this concept.
