The status and components of methanation catalyst were discussed, and nickel-based catalyst deactivation was mainly caused by sulfur poisoning and carbon deposition. The effect of active ingredients, supports and additives on the performances of Ni-based catalysts was studied. Improvement methods of datang keshiketeng catalyst for methanation were proposed.
