谈论当代大凉山彝族现代汉语诗歌，吉狄马加是绕不过去的伟岸诗人。他是当代大凉山彝族现代汉语诗歌第一代诗人中的杰出代表，也是这一诗歌群体至今无人超越的前辈诗人。诗人谨记自己诺苏彝族的身份，兼有世界情怀，在歌咏大凉山的风物民俗的同时对世界各民族均怀着初恋般的热爱。诗人通过纷繁的意象，独特的文化民俗传统的诗意叙述，实现了超越自我的人神对话，彰显出深沉内敛、勇敢善良的大凉山诗歌精神，并为当代诗歌创造了一方圣洁的栖息之地。

Jidi Majia is a famous poet which will not be forgotten when we are talking about modern Chi-nese poetry of the Yi people in contemporary Daliangshan .He is one of the outstanding representative in the first-generation poets of modern Chinese poetry of the Yi people in contemporary Daliangshan and a predecessor that no one can surpass of this poetry group up to now .As a Nuosu Yi of Daliangshan , he never has forgotten his own identity and often expresses his deep passion for his ethnic native land in the eulogizing on scenery and folk -custom of Daliangshan;His poetry shows his concerns about the ecologi-cal environment , his aesthetic view on poetry about ecology , his exploration on the harmonious develop-ment between human and nature and his character and morals on mankind ˊs concern beyond race in the dialogues and exchanges with different ethnic groups and different cultures .
