藏区的刑事和解习俗在性质上属于民族刑事习惯法，是藏区解决刑事纠纷的主要方法之一，刑事和解习俗具有宗教性和民族性、广泛性和随意性等特点，刑事和解习俗与国家刑事制定法既具有冲突性又具有协作性。宗教文化、自然环境、社会转型等因素是藏族刑事和解习俗的特点的成因。

In nature, the criminal reconciliation custom (CRC) in Tibetan areas is one way to deal with the criminal disputes , and belongs to the criminal customary law .CRC in Tibetan areas is of religious-ness, nationality, universality and randomness , which are reflected both in conflict and harmony between CRC and the criminal law .Religious culture and natural conditions and social transformation are the main causes to give birth to the features above .
