作为中国文化的主要代表，《论语》是国内外学者英译最多的典籍之一，在众多英译本中，蔡志忠的中英版《论语》漫画最为畅销。其原因在于蔡志忠以漫画形式将其中深奥的哲理明了化，即用非语言符号系统诠释儒家思想。借助雅各布森的符际翻译理论，指出蔡志忠《论语》漫画中的图像符号作为一种非语言符号，可以成为解释中国典籍外译的手段，从而引导我们对《论语》跨文化传播的多维度思考。

As the representative work of the Chinese culture, the Analects of Confucius has been translated by numerous domestic and overseas scholars. Among the different translation versions, Cai Zhizhong’s Chinese-English Analects is the most typical and best-selling one. The reason lies in that Cai Zhizhong interprets the complicated Confucian thoughts into simple ones through comics, and translates the words of Confucianism into nonverbal symbols. Therefore, this paper, from the perspective of Jakobson’s intersemiotic translation theory, intends to explore that the pictorial symbols can be used to explain the cultural issues in the Analects of Confucius. It is hoped that this study can help people take into consideration of the cross-cultural communication of the Analects of Confucius from diverse dimensions.
