羌族是我国古老民族之一，其先民曾在广阔地域迁徙流转，与中华诸民族交相融合。先秦时，以禹、姜为代表的部分羌人东进中原，他们最早摆脱戎狄属性，融入华夏族；秦汉时，羌人或西迁西域，建立诸羌氐行国，或南下蔵彝走廊，发展为众藏缅语族，亦有内属者，号为东羌。羌人兴于黄河中上游，到秦汉时，足迹已遍于黄河流域、蔵彝走廊，甚至远逾西域。羌人迁徙过程是研究羌人发展历程、民族融合和民族关系的一项基础内容。

Qiang is one of the ancient nationalities in China , whose ancestors once migrated and flowed in its wide area , fusing with other Chinese nationalities .During the Pre-qin period , some of the Qiang people , represented by Yu and Jiang , entered the Central Plains from the east , becoming the first one to get rid of Jonqdiaˊs character and fusing into Huaxia nationality .During the Qin and Han dynasties , some of the Qiang people moved into the West Region and established the Diqiang country;and some arrived to Tibetan-Yi Corridor and developed into Tibeto -Burman Branch;some even moved into the hinterland and was known as eastern Qiang .Qiang people flourished among the upper and middle reaches of the Yellow River , whose footprint had covered the Yellow River basin and Tibetan -Yi Corridor , even reached to the West Region in Qin dynasty .The progress of the Qiang peopleˊs migration is the basic of the research on their development , national fusion and relationship .
