在全球化和快速城市化进程中，我国大部分历史文化名城出现了由于对地域文化的忽视或者不够重视而造成城市形象的趋同，使城市缺少了个性和特色，如何构建独特的历史文化名城形象是许多城市面临的共性问题。以历史文化名城常州为例，通过调查常州的人文历史，总结出常州城市文化的历史积淀与特色，在此基础上提出构建历史文化名城的策略，即建立包括理念识别、行为识别和视觉识别在内的一整套常州城市识别系统，来塑造常州独特的历史文化名城的形象，推动常州的发展。

Globalization and the rapid urbanization process, most of our historical and cultural city emerged due to the neglect of local culture or the image of the city caused by insufficient attention convergence,so that the city lacks the personality and characteristics,how to build the image of the unique historical and cultural city is a common problem faced by many cities.In this paper,historical and cultural city of Changzhou,for ex-ample,through the investigation of the cultural history of Changzhou,Changzhou,summed up the city′s histor-ical heritage and cultural characteristics,on the basis of historical and cultural city proposed to build a strate-gy,namely the establishment,including the concept of identification,behavior recognition and visual recogni-tion system,including a set of Changzhou city recognition system,to shape the unique historical and cultural city of Changzhou's image and promote the development of Changzhou.
