大量前瞻性研究表明同型半胱氨酸与脑卒中显著相关，是脑卒中的独立危险因素之一。但到目前为止，降低同型半胱氨酸治疗在预防心脑血管疾病方面并没有取得显著的临床收益。本文就临床降同型半胱氨酸治疗、同型半胱氨酸基因多态性以及与健康人群之间相关关系进行探讨，将有可能提高降同型半胱氨酸治疗预防卒中的临床收益。

In light of numerous prospective studies have found that a positive association between plasma homocysteine and stroke, homocysteine is surely the risk of stroke. However, homocysteine-lowing therapy with folic acid and vitamin B has revealed no significant clinical benefit. This paper discussed some problems about homocysteine-lowing trials, homocysteine gene polymorphism and the relationship with homocysteine and healthy individuals, it will be possible to improve the clinical benefit of homocysteine therapy in stroke prevention.
