In the electrical control design for steel coil conveying zone of 1 450 mm hot wide strip roll-ing line in Guangxi Liuzhou Iron and Steel( Group) Company,a variety of optimization control meth-ods are used to realize the sequential control, the queue process control, the steel coil tracking, the transferring control in steel coil inspecton line,etc. during conveying and inspecting coils. The appli-cation results show that the steps of the steel coil conveying system in hot strip rolling line are reason-able,and the conveying speed is significantly increased.
