晋江话有五个被动标记“乞、度、传、与、献”。与其他闽南方言不同的是，“乞”既能用于长被动句，也能用于短被动句。“乞”被动句的 VP 在体标记、补语、动宾、否定等方面与普通话有一些差异，而语义与普通话的“被”相似。其他四个被动标记只能用于短被动句。“度”、“与”是方言变体，时间层次早于“乞”。“与”没有漳州、厦门的双宾用法。“献”能用于双宾和被动。

Jinjiang Minnan (Southern Fujian)dialect is characterized by five passive markers 乞khi,度 th,传 t,与 h ,献 hai.乞 khi can both be used in long passive sentences and short passive sentences,which is different from other Minnan dialects in southern Fujian.乞 khi is simi-lar in meaning to Mandarin 被 bei,but is different in aspect markers,complement,dative and nega-tion in VP of passive sentences.The other four markers can only be applied in short passive sen-tences.度 th and 与 h ,which are more ancient than 乞 khi,are dialectal variables.与 hof Jinjiang Minnan dialect lacks of dative compared to that of Xiamen and Zhangzhou city,whereas 献hai can be used in passive and dative.
