The basic properties of cellulose acetate fiber is described, including the mechanical properties, adsorption filtration performance, hygroscopicity, crimpness, acid and alkaline proof and stability. The mechanical properties and adsorption filtration performance of cellulose acetate fiber have been specifically introduced. Then according to the characteristics of cellulose acetate fiber, its current application situation in the fields such as cigarette industry, textile industry and biomedical engineering is analysed.
