动脉粥样硬化是环境因素与遗传因素相互作用所致的慢性炎症疾病。表观遗传因素参与了动脉粥样硬化的发生发展，表观遗传学是指非基因序列改变所致基因表达的变化。组蛋白修饰是表观遗传调控机制之一，组蛋白修饰异常与动脉粥样硬化发病关系密切。本文综述了组蛋白修饰在动脉粥样硬化中作用的研究进展，探讨组蛋白修饰酶作为动脉粥样硬化的治疗手段和靶点的可行性及存在的问题。

Atherosclerosis is a chronic inflammatory disease of large and medium sized arteries which is caused by environmental and genetic in-teractions.Recently, epigenetic modification of the genome has been identified to play a major role in the disease development .Epigenetics refer to heritable alterations that are not due to changes in DNA sequence and histone modification is one of them .Histone modification is closely related with atherosclerosis .This paper reviewed the histone modification progress in atherosclerosis research , to investigate the feasibility of his-tone modifying enzymes as therapeutic targets of atherosclerosis treat-ment.
