Taking the actual engineering design of 30 kt/a PTMEG unit as an example, from the perspective of process, equipment layout, pipe material selection and pipe layout, together with actual engineering experience, this paper sums up, discusses and proposes that temperature control and wastes treatment should be emphasized and that process medium characteristics and centralized layout of package equipment should be considered in layout.
