A new hybrid rice combination Jiayou 99 was derived from the cross of a good quality sterile line Jiazhe A and a restorer line Jiahui 99. It was planted as mid-season rice at Xiaosong town of Jian,ou city, showing the characteristics of high yield, good quality, strong blast resistance, tolerant fertilizer and resistant lodging. Its planting performance and high-yielding cultivation techniques as mid-season rice at Jian,ou city were summarized.
