The mechanical behavior of an abnormity steel box girder widening bridge in both construc-tion and operation stages are analyzed with finite element method,and its main design details are de-scribed.The reasonable construction measures of widening cross beam and control measures of pile foundation settlement are also presented.The result shows that the structure is safe and reliable for its rational design,and it can be used for reference in the similar project.
