肌肉注射是临床护理的一项基本操作，要求护士熟练掌握。但在临床工作中，笔者发现经常有新护士或护生采用传统持针法，由于技术不熟练或胆怯，甚至是资深老护士评估患者对肌注的恐惧程度不够重视从而低估了进针时患者对疼痛的自然逃避动作，造成肌肉注射进针过深或过浅，或推注药物时不能稳稳的固定住注射器，致使针头脱出导致肌肉注射失败，不仅使患者增加了痛苦，也使护士再次注射产生了压力。
