The humidity variability in summer days and nights in Qian’an area and seasonal humidity variation would had an adverse impact on the operation stability of blast furnaces and fuel consumption. An evaluation of the energy saving benefit of the No.3 blast furnace project showed that the energy saving technology of blast furnace dehumidification was feasible, could reduce the coke ratio, increase the coal injection ratio, save power con-sumption of the fan and improve the operation of the blast furnace and production efficiency.
