For a power plant generator with the wiring of generator-transformer-line unit connection, This article introduces the emergency shutdown process and the potential hazards when the line breaker opened as protection works or non-fault-trip resulting in the generator running out, discusses necessary electrical protection measures to enable the unit quickly and safely shut down and put forward feasible countermeasures.
