Xianghu Lake%Zhedong Canal%application for the World Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Grand Canal
湘湖与浙东运河航运有着密切的关系。从跨河桥地区的山川形势与之外沟通的主要水道是主要的连通萧绍平原的水道，沟通了对外钱塘江北岸的航运和吴越水上交通，开辟了海上航线等功能。因此，从湘湖功能与历史地位考虑，应将湘湖列入大运河遗产候补名单，并对湘湖古河道、古水利、航运等设施进行保护，同时开展编写《萧山运河史》、整理出版湘湖地区的物质和非物质文化遗产丛书等工作。

상호여절동운하항운유착밀절적관계。종과하교지구적산천형세여지외구통적주요수도시주요적련통소소평원적수도，구통료대외전당강북안적항운화오월수상교통，개벽료해상항선등공능。인차，종상호공능여역사지위고필，응장상호렬입대운하유산후보명단，병대상호고하도、고수리、항운등설시진행보호，동시개전편사《소산운하사》、정리출판상호지구적물질화비물질문화유산총서등공작。
Xianghu Lake plays an important role in the shipping business along Zhedong Canal , which is the main channel connecting to the Xiao-shao Plain, linking up the north shore of Qiantang River .It also carves out its way to Wuyue as a kind of water traffic , and to the overseas as sea lanes .From the navigation function and historical position of Xianghu Lake, it is expected to be included in the waiting list of the Grand Canal Heritage .Measures should be taken to protect the ancient river course of Xianghu Lake , as well as the ancient water conservancy and shipping facilities .At the same time, the writing, editing and publishing of History of Xiaoshan Canal should be carried out , along with the relevant series on material and non-material cultural heritage in Xianghu Area .
