The disrupted status of forest ecological environment in China's mining area was briefly reviewed, and introduced the type, characteristic and practical application of biotechnology for forest ecological environment restoration in discarded land of mining area. Taking phytoremediation and bioremediation as examples, combining with forestry system engineering and restoration ecology, systematic analysis was carried on the application of biotechnology in the full course of forest ecosystem restoration.
