干燥综合征是一种主要累及外分泌腺体的慢性炎症性自身免疫病，因其病机复杂，治疗多以对症治疗为主，尚无较好的治本之法。导师阎小萍教授认为干燥综合征的病机本质是“阴虚为本，燥热为标”，其病位在肾、肝，兼及肺、脾、胃、心等多脏腑，从改善疾病本质入手，经过临床实践，取得较好疗效。

Sicca syndrome is the chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease with external secretion gland involved and its pathogenesis is complicated. The symptomatic treatment is the common method,but the root of disease cannot be treated successfully. Prof. Yan Xiaoping believed that the pathogenesis of sicca syn-drome was yin deficiency as the root and dryness heat as the symptoms,and many organs were involved,such as the kidney,liver,lung,spleen and stomach. The treatment shall focus on the root of disease. The satisfacto-ry efficacy has been obtained in clinical practice.
