运动神经元病为神经系统疑难病，西医无特效治疗。中医根据其临床主要特点，归于“痿证”的范畴，通过对其特点分析，提出以肺、脾、肾三脏以应上、中、下三焦为主轴、其根源在肾，枢纽在脾（胃），肺脏必伤，气血周流贯穿始终为线论治MND的理论，因本病脊髓前角运动神经元选择性丢失与中医“髓减”概念极具吻合，故又提出在临证运用益气填精补髓中药之际，可参用兴奋神经元中药，从而丰富中医论治运动神经元病的方法和思路。

Motor neuron disease is a stubborn nervous system disease. Western medicine is not quite effective in treating this disease. Based on its characteristics,Chinese medicine considers it as a flaccidity syndrome,promoting the treatment scheme of the lung,the spleen and the kidney correspondent with upper, middle and lower Sanjiao respectively. Since the selective loss of spinal cord anterior horn motor neurons of the disease match perfectly with the TCM concept of flaccidity,it is reasonable to supplement with qi and es-sence. Medication that excites neurons can also be used. This method enriches the way and thoughts that TCM treats motor neuron disease.
