For the specific characteristics of scrap steel, we proposed the way for enhancing the ship-unloading and yard oper-ating efficiency of scrap steel at the port. Based on the convenient condition of collection and distribution at the port, we sug-gested constructing a supporting scrap steel processing and distribution center at the port to develop the scrap steel processing, and then to further promoting the efficiency of scrap steel transportation and operation. The port enterprise can make a win-win situation with steel enterprise.
