Considering the requirements of marine environment protection and minimization of potential oil pollution during the oil exploration in Bohai sea ice season, the state of the art of the oil spill detection and prediction technologies in ice season is analyzed, and the development direction for the research of oil spill detection and modeling technologies is discussed about, as well as the future application of these technologies.
