This paper elaborated the important functions of highway engineering test detection work,researched the visual observation detection method,nuclear density detection method,sand detection method and other sub-grade and pavement detection technologies,and discussed the detection technology of sub-grade and pavement compaction quality,so as to improve the quality of sub-grade and pavement engineering.
