SOX7属于SOX基因家族,参与调节胚胎发育中的多种生物学过程.近期研究表明,SOX7可能具有一定抑癌作用,但其抑癌活性的潜在机制尚不明确.目前已发现的可能机制主要有3种:一是参与调节靶基因活性;二是负性调控Wnt信号通路;三是由于其启动子甲基化而导致的异常表达.本文将对SOX7基因的结构和生理功能进行介绍,并着重探讨SOX7抑癌作用及其可能的潜在机制.

SOX7 belongs to the SOX family which had been shown to regulate multiple biological processes during embryonic development.Recent studies indicate that SOX7 may possess important tumor suppressive properties.However,the underlying mechanisms remain unknown.A series of reports shown that,SOX7 plays its role by at least three following ways:the first was to regulate the activity of target genes.the second wasto regulate Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway negatively.In addition,the expression of SOX7 may be mediated by promoter methylation.In this review,we would introduce the structure and function of SOX7,and discussthe possible mechanisms by which it play the role of tumor suppressive.
