玉米新品种“西旺3008”是以自选系“MZ30”为母本、自选系“MZ18”为父本杂交育成的玉米单交种。2年区域试验平均产量12328?9 kg／hm2，比对照品种“郑单958”增产11?1％。生产试验平均产量11309?7 kg／hm2，比对照品种“郑单958”增产9?2％。该品种于2012年1月通过吉林省农作物品种审定委员会审定，其主要特点是高产、优质、抗病性较强，适于吉林省中晚熟地区及黑龙江省部分地区种植。

A new maize variety “xiwang 3008” was bred using “MZ 30”as female parent and“MZ18”as male parent. Its yield was 12 328?9 kg/hm2 in the 2?year regional test,11?1% higher than that of the control variety “zhengdan 958”. Its yield was 11 309?7 kg/hm2 in the production test,9?2% higher than that of the control variety “zhengdan 958”. “Xiwang 3008” was examined and approved by Jilin Evaluation Committee of Crop Variety in December 2012. “Xiwang 3008” is steady and high in yield, strong in resistance to diseases and drought, and better in quality and is suitable to be planted in Changchun, Jilin, Tonghua, Songyuan and Baicheng of Jilin province and some regions of Heilongjiang province.
