随着国家新型城镇化战略的快速推进，重点镇作为城市发展的延伸和普通乡镇发展的样板，将发挥越来越重要的示范作用。本文首先从理论层面上提出了影响重点镇空间结构发展的因素主要有自然、经济、交通、社会、政治与政策等五大因素，进而以荆州市弥市镇城镇空间结构规划的过程为例，明确了合理选取及综合运用主要影响因素是空间结构规划的重要手段，并寻找到了工作方法上的具体策略。本研究对荆州市乃至江汉平原同类型小城镇的城镇空间结构规划具有一定的参考意义。

With the rapid development of national new ur-banization strategy, major towns as an extension of urban devel-opment and a model of the general rural development, will play a more and more important demonstration role. First, the paper theoretically put forward the factors affecting the development of the major towns’ spatial structure, including the following five elements of nature, economy, transportation, society, politics and policy. Then, take Mishi in Jingzhou for example, the pa-per defines that rational selection and comprehensive application of these main factors is the important means to achieve the rea-sonable planning by analyzing the process of this towns ’ spatial structure planning, and finds a specific strategy on working methods. This study has the reference value for the urban spatial structure planning of the same type towns of Jingzhou, and even Jianghan plain.
