注水式结肠镜检查法是指用注水代替传统的注气行肠镜检查的方法。1984年首次应用并获得了成功，从那时起研究者们通过改进这项技术使其更加有效，如注入温水以及不限制注水量等。注水式结肠镜检查法具有减轻患者腹痛、提高插管成功率等优势。该文就注水式结肠镜的发展历程、操作方法及其特点予以综述。

The basic concept of water infusion method involves using water ,instead of air,to distend the colon enough to obtain a clear view during insertion.In 1984,Falchunk first described a water infusion tech-nique that facilitated colonoscopy in patients who could not undergo successful colonoscopy with air insuffla-tion because of severe diverticular disease.Since then,some modifications have been adopted to improve the effectiveness of this technique,such as using warm water infusion and imposing no restriction on the water volum infused into the colon in most circumstances .Some research realved that water method improved cecal intubation,alleviated abdominal pain.In this article,the development process of water ralated colonoscopy, operation method and its characteristics are described .
