临床统计证实了牙周炎与类风湿关节炎（ RA）之间存在统计学意义上的相关性。牙周炎是最常见的口腔疾病之一，其特征是牙周附着和牙槽骨受到炎症破坏，而风湿性或其他炎症系统性疾病将促使牙周炎产生及其发展。近期的研究表明，RA较特异的因子———抗瓜氨酸蛋白抗体在牙周炎发病之前即可检测出来，能在一定程度上说明两种疾病的病理相关性，这一研究结论将为这两种疾病的预防和治疗提供更多的理论依据。

Clinical statistics has confirmed that there is statistical correlation between periodontitis and rheumatoid arthritis.Periodontitis is the most common oral disease,characterized by the inflammatory destruc-tion of periodontal attachment and alveolar bone .The existence of a rheumatic or other inflammatory systemic disease may promote both the incidence and development of periodontitis .Recent studies have shown that anti-citrullinated protein antibodies (ACPA),which are highly specific to rheumatoid arthritis,can be detec-ted before the incidence of periodontitis,such result can partly explain the pathologic correlation between these two diseases,and will provide theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of the two diseases .
