TBX3基因是调控生长发育相关的关键基因之一，它广泛地存在胚胎组织中，在胚胎干细胞、心脏传导系统的发育中起重要作用，它的缺失或突变会引起尺骨－乳腺综合征。 TBX3与肿瘤的发生、发展关系密切，它在肿瘤形成的信号网络系统中起重要的作用，在乳腺癌、肝癌、肺癌、恶性黑色素瘤等多种肿瘤中高表达。

TBX3 gene is one of the key genes in the regulation of growth and development ,which widely exists in fetal tissues,and plays an important role in the development of embryonic stem cells and cardiac conduction system.The deletion or mutation of TBX3 gene causes ulnar-mammary syndrome.There is a close correlation between TBX3 and tumor,since it plays an important role in the signal network system of tumor formation,and is highly expressed in breast cancer,liver cancer,lung cancer,malignant melanoma and other tumors.
