郭井子潜山为北西向古生界残丘山与中生界断块山复合型潜山，主要受印支、燕山和喜山三期构造运动的控制与改造，形成现今北西成带、南北分块的构造格局，其对本区含油气系统的发育与油气分布起制约作用。区内古生界奥陶系及中生界侏罗系均发现工业油流，是八面河地区油气勘探的接替层系之一。
郭井子潛山為北西嚮古生界殘丘山與中生界斷塊山複閤型潛山，主要受印支、燕山和喜山三期構造運動的控製與改造，形成現今北西成帶、南北分塊的構造格跼，其對本區含油氣繫統的髮育與油氣分佈起製約作用。區內古生界奧陶繫及中生界侏囉繫均髮現工業油流，是八麵河地區油氣勘探的接替層繫之一。
곽정자잠산위북서향고생계잔구산여중생계단괴산복합형잠산，주요수인지、연산화희산삼기구조운동적공제여개조，형성현금북서성대、남북분괴적구조격국，기대본구함유기계통적발육여유기분포기제약작용。구내고생계오도계급중생계주라계균발현공업유류，시팔면하지구유기감탐적접체층계지일。
NW -trending Paleozoic residual hillock and Mesozoic block mountain constitute compound Guo‐jingzi buried hill .Mainly controlled and transformed by tectonic movement at three stages of Indosinian , Yanshan and Himalayan ,it is in the structural frameworks of NW -trending banded structure and SN -trending block structure ,w hich restricts the development of its hydrocarbon -bearing system and its hydro‐carbon distribution .Industrial oil flow of Paleozoic Ordovician and Mesozoic Jurassic in this region shows that it is one of ready bed series for oil -gas exploration in Bamianhe Oilfield .
