The LIAF (Laser-Induced Auto-Fluorescence) diagnostic technique was featured with high sensitivity, painlessness, non-invasion and the capability of identifying the slight lfuorescence of early tumors and the cancerous boundary. This paper detailed the design, structure, working principle and actual experiment content of the LIAF-based early-stage tumor diagnosis system. Moreover, comparisons were made between the auto-lfuorescence diagnostic technique and conventional early-stage tumor diagnostic techniques in the aspects of electron staining, iodine staining and methylene blue staining.
