Local transmission network is the basis of the transport network, of which the convergence layer, as the key link of business astrictive, convergence and forwarding, is the base for keeping the stability of transmission network. Therefore it needs to se-lect reasonably the convergence layer room. It explains the basic network architecture, local transport network core engine room, convergence zone and convergence equipment room, summarizes the selecting strategy of local transmission network convergence layer room, including the selection of the number, area, region, bearing and equipment power consumption re-quirements, to guide the construction, optimization and design of the local transmission network.
