Song Dynastyˊs downfall%ethnic policy%intellectuals superior to generals
宋代是一个特殊的朝代，其经济、文化、科技繁荣程度都超过了前代，但对外却难以实现收复失地、统一全国的夙愿。这一局面除了在客观上因为都城远离西北，导致军粮运输困难重重等因素外，主观方面存在的问题也不容忽视。其中既有边将扰乱军纪、涣散军心的行为，也有朝臣攻防主张不一的冲突；既有朝廷“崇文抑武”导致文武失衡和“内忧”大于“外患”错误指导的原因，也与边吏盘剥、用人不当导致民心丧失有关。

송대시일개특수적조대，기경제、문화、과기번영정도도초과료전대，단대외각난이실현수복실지、통일전국적숙원。저일국면제료재객관상인위도성원리서북，도치군량운수곤난중중등인소외，주관방면존재적문제야불용홀시。기중기유변장우란군기、환산군심적행위，야유조신공방주장불일적충돌；기유조정“숭문억무”도치문무실형화“내우”대우“외환”착오지도적원인，야여변리반박、용인불당도치민심상실유관。
Song was a special dynasty. Its economy,culture,science and technology were more prosperous than those in previous dynasties. However,it was a difficult ambition to regain of lost territory and unify the nation. Ob-Jectively,because its capital was far away from the Northwest,the transport of army provisions was difficult. SubJec-tively,it was because the frontier soldiers disrupted the military discipline and disintegrated the spirit of the army and the courtiers disagreed on defense or attack. Meanwhile,the courtˊs policy“intellectuals superior to generals”led to civil and military imbalance and misunderstood that the internal problems were more serious than foreign ag-gression ,and peopleˊs positiveness got lost because of the exploitation and poor engagement from the border officials as well.
