本文简要介绍了启发式教学的内涵以及应用的必要性，以“GPS定位原理及应用”课程为载体，通过具体课堂设计充分展示了启发式教学的应用过程，有效地调动了学生的积极性，使学生更为充分地掌握所讲授的知识，提高了课堂教学质量，有进一步推广的价值。

The content of heuristic education and the necessity of application of this principle for teaching practice were briefly in-troduced firstly. Then, the principle was used in the course of the"GPS Principle and Practice", and some problems were investi-gated. The results showed that classroom teaching quality was improved significantly, with the students' initiative and feedback information;therefore, the heuristic education should be general-ized for GPS surveying and mapping engineering.
