众所周知，传统史学忽视女性历史的书写，而苗族女性史料则更少见于正史。运用民间遗存的各种文献，虽不免会遇到碎片化的窘境，然若从全国大量发现的民间历史文献中仔细捡练，亦能一窥下层妇女之生活实况。清代苗族女性生活实况的考察，囿于史料，极难展开。近年来，贵州清水江地区发现了大量的民间历史文献，从这些契约文书、碑刻和族谱等民间生活史料，既可了解清代苗族女性通过“租山栽杉”在经济上的独立地位，又可了解她们“上碑入谱”的社会权利，还可以了解到她们的婚姻缔结之变化及自由，是研究清代苗族女性的宝贵史料。

Known to all,traditional historians often ignored the historical record of women.The historical re-cord of the Hmong women is even rarer.By applying the inherited different sort of folk literature,it is unavoida-ble to encounter the dilemma of fragmentation.However,if we have a large number of folk historical documents found carefully from different sources in the country,we can still find out the life of the women at the lower level of the society.Research on the real life condition about the Hmong women in the Qing Dynasty finds it hard to progress because of the lack of historical data at that time.In recent years,large amount of folk historical litera-ture has been discovered in Qingshuijiang area in Guizhou.From these contract documents,inscriptions and his-torical genealogy,and other historical folk life materials,we can not only understand the independent economic position of the Hmong women in the Qing Dynasty through hiring mountain to grow fir trees,but also know their social rights to “engrave their names in the monument and write them down into the spectrum”.That apart,we can also know the change and freedom of their marriage.These are valuable historical data for the research of theHmong women in the Qing Dynasty.
