唐代和亲诗创作丰富，既反映了人们对和亲政策的思考，也反映了人们对和亲公主命运的深切关怀。和亲公主们的命运与大唐国力息息相关，是当时民族关系的晴雨表：国力上升期的初唐、盛唐的和亲公主们，基本上保持了被尊崇的地位，反映出的民族关系相对融洽；而中晚唐时期的和亲公主们则命运多舛，其时的民族关系较为紧张。
당대화친시창작봉부，기반영료인문대화친정책적사고，야반영료인문대화친공주명운적심절관부。화친공주문적명운여대당국력식식상관，시당시민족관계적청우표：국력상승기적초당、성당적화친공주문，기본상보지료피존숭적지위，반영출적민족관계상대융흡；이중만당시기적화친공주문칙명운다천，기시적민족관계교위긴장。
In the Tang Dynasty,there appeared a large number of poems related to marriage to the minorities at that time,which reflected people's thinking on the policy about the marriage to the minorities to keep the close harmonious relationship with them and their deep concern about the future of the princess getting married there. The fate of the princess was closely connected with the power of the prosperous Tang Dynasty.It was also a ba-rometer of the national relationship.The princesses getting married to the minorities at the beginning of Tang when the dynasty was rising up and in the middle of Tang when it was prosperous was basically kept in the exalt-ed position,which reflected the relatively harmonious national relation.However,after that time when the ethnic relationship became a bit tension,their fate was changed into an opposite orientation.
