奇台方言归属于新疆境内兰银官话塔密片，文章通过实地调查归纳出方言音系并与中古《切韵》比较得出中古至今演变规律：声母不分尖团，知庄章分[?]、[tù]属于昌徐型，见系开口二等字有异读现象，影疑母开口洪音字多读[n]、[ng]声母；韵母总体呈现合流归并趋势，鼻尾韵保留鼻尾较多，[@n]、[@ng]类韵合并；声调只有三类，中古清入、次浊入归今去声和阴平，全浊入多数归今阳平，少数归今去声等。
기태방언귀속우신강경내란은관화탑밀편，문장통과실지조사귀납출방언음계병여중고《절운》비교득출중고지금연변규률：성모불분첨단，지장장분[?]、[tù]속우창서형，견계개구이등자유이독현상，영의모개구홍음자다독[n]、[ng]성모；운모총체정현합류귀병추세，비미운보류비미교다，[@n]、[@ng]류운합병；성조지유삼류，중고청입、차탁입귀금거성화음평，전탁입다수귀금양평，소수귀금거성등。
This paper summarized the phonetic system of Qitai speech based on the field research, and found out its evolution law by comparing it with Qieyun: the initials doesn’t distinguish between clarion and TuanYin, Zhi-Zhuang-Zhang groups differentiate [?], [tù] belongs to Chang-Xu type, different pronunciations in Jian department of opening the second word, Ying、Yi initials in Hung opening sound words sound [n]、[ng],the finals showing an overall trend of merging, nose rhyme retain nose tail more,[@n]、[@ng] groups merged;only three types of tones, medieval voiceless and muddy RuSheng owned now falling tone and level tone, all muddy RuSheng most go into rising tone today, minority go into falling tone, etc.
