Professional service firms are one of the most rapidly growing industries in the world .In recent years ,the "Pro‐fession"of this type of firms is attached more and more attention by foreign academics .By reviewing studies of professional services firms ,this paper starts research from specialized characteristics of professional services firms ,introduces and ana‐lyses the fundamental questions of professional services firms ,summarizes and review s the "Profession" of professional services firms ,finally points out the directions of grow th research of professional services firm in the future .
