Objective To investigate the advantage of using double-dose contrast agent in contrast enhance-ment MRA (CE-MRA) on neck. Methods Totally 400 cases had undergone 3D-CE-MRA on neck. 200 cases were examed by single-dose (0.2 ml/kg) Gadodiamide, and 200 cases were examed by double-dose (0.4 ml/kg) Gadodi-amide. All acquired coronal pictures were reconstructed using MIP method and were observed by two experienced ra-diologist at the same time. The results were analyzed by two independent sampler non-parametric test in SPSS. Re-sults Among 200 cases using single-dose Gadodiamide, excellent pictures were 122 cases, good pictures were 50 cases, and non-satisfaction pictures were 28 cases. Among 200 cases using double-dose Gadodiamide, excellent pic-tures were 165 cases, good pictures were 30 cases, and non-satisfaction pictures were 5 cases. Conclusion Pictures of carotid artery using double-dose contrast agent are better than those using single-dose contrast agent. And thus may reduce error in clinical practice.
