孔子和苏格拉底在自己的教学过程中都非常强调启发,但两者的启发其实是有质的区别,即孔子的启发是存在着一个预先的设定,而苏格拉底的启发则没有预先的设定,而是要让学生自己在与苏格拉底对话的过程受到启发。而这个区别也正是中西教育传统上的差异。

Confucius and Socrates in their teaching process were very stressed enlightening, but their inspiration is a qualitative difference. There is the pre set in Confucius inspiration, and the inspiration of Socrates is not pre setting, to let the students themselves were inspired in the process of dialogue with Socrates .And this difference is the difference between Chinese and western educational traditions.
