Professor Pei Zhengxue is a well‐known expert of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine in China, and a tutor for successors of academic experience of national celebrated veteran doctors in TCM field. In treatment of children with purpura, Prof. Pei re-alizes that the disease is caused by fire and wind evils stirring up each other and a prolonged course will attack blood phase. In clinical practice, the method of dispersing the wind heat and removing pathogenic heat from blood is mainly adopted for excess syndrome, and the method of tonefying qi to control blood and nourishing yin to reduce pathogenic fire is adopted for deficiency syndrome, in combination with the method of promoting blood circulation by removing blood stasis, with determined curative effect in clinical practice.
