儒家的圣人具有道德完备、济世济民、天人合一等特征，道家的圣人则具有与道一体、顺随自然、无为守柔等特征。道家的圣人思想奠基于老子，庄子有所发展，主要表现在使用了更为丰富的概念、增加了更多的神化色彩、区分了两种圣人以及圣人之才与圣人之道等。老庄的圣人思想对于深入把握道家乃至整个中国传统的哲学人学理论具有重要意义，也会为当代理想人格的建构提供丰富的思想资源。

Lao Tzu and Chuang Tzu's thoughts of saints are embodied in the concept of ideal personality of Taoism , their metaphysical basis is"Tauist", and the fundamental principle is "natural", essentially characterized by the pursuit of absolute freedom .Chuang Tzu developed the saint thoughts of Lao Tzu , Chuang Tzu used a richer concept , adds more color deification , distinguished the saint ’ s principle from the wisdom , and distinguished Taoism saints from Confucianism saints and others .To research Lao Tzu and Chuang Tzu ’ s thoughts of saints has the great significance for us to understand the personality realm of Taoism and the whole essence of the Tauism system.It has a reference value for constructing the contemporary ideal personality and philosophy of life .
