鉴于湖沥青改性沥青在内蒙范围内是首次使用，首先通过三大指标、老化试验确定出湖沥青改性沥青的特性，然后对A90#道路石油沥青混合料特性和TMA-50混合料的特性对比分析得出，高温性能和水稳性具有明显的优越性，低温性能改善不明显，可以满足具有车流量大、重载等特点的运煤专线的路面质量要求。
